Doctor of sociological sciences, professor of economic sociology at Higher School of Economics. In 1989 Svetlana graduated from Novosibirsk State University (NSU), where specialized in economic cybernetics. In 1998 she graduated from Moscow High School of Economic and Social Sciences, qualification “Master of sociology at the University of Manchester”. In the period of 1989-1991 Svetlana worked as a research associate at the University of Economics and Industrial Engineering SB RAS (Novosibirsk). In the period of 1998-1999 she worked as a lecturer at State University of Management (SUM). Svetlana is the manager of the research project “Everyday patriotism in a modern Russia” (grant from the Russian Foundation for Humanities and National Center for Scientific Research of France, 2008-2010, №08-03-94691 a/Fr). She is the manager of the research project “Judicial system in Russia: unity of formal and informal procedure” (grant from the Russian Foundation for Basic Research, 2008-2010, №08-06-00460), “Investigation of the role of expert Community, media, industrial associations, and other public associations in determination of the food balance of the country and export potential of the Russian agroindustrial complex” (grant from the President of the Russian Federation, 2008, №139/K). Svetlana is a winner (first degree) of All-Russian award in analytical journalism (2005), winner of university award “Golden tower” in the nomination of “The best faculty professor” (2006). She is also an author of several monographs and more than a hundred of articles about economic sociology. Today Svetlana is a deputy head of laboratory of social-economic researches at HSE, member of the editorial board of the journal “Sociological researches”. Area of interests and specialization: informal economics, sociology of entrepreneurship, political sociology, agrarian politics.
